The Senior Show is an event that is organized at the end of your last year at ASU to showcase the exhibits that focus on the senior thesis topics. Because the Senior Show is about the social issues of the students, I created a typographic poster that looked as if the surface of the text was being removed to reveal the issues underneath. I wanted the poster to signify that we can no longer hide the importance of these issues. It’s time for them to be resurfaced at this year’s show in order to raise awareness, and inspire action for change.

For one of the first projects of the year, we were tasked with designing a creative poster for the Poster Show. The Poster Show is a senior event where posters that are donated from various designers and design firms, and the senior clocks, are auctioned off to guests. I took a very colorful approach for this typographic poster design. The poster represents the unique creative work from a variety of designers that will enlighten those who attend the show. I used a gradient of bright colors in order to portray a natural spotlight. The extra elements added around the text were placed to give the poster a more celestial feel.
